Financial Education
This FREE program, brought to you by Credit Union employees, has been very successful in providing budgeting knowledge, money handling skills, and the basics of surviving in the financial world. It is never too early to start planning. We are always looking to find subjects that will assist our members for their financial well-being.
Member Education classes are held at the Lucy Lane Office, 140 Lucy Lane Waynesboro and the Kaylor Drive Office, 47 West Kaylor Park Drive Harrisonburg. Please see below for specific details. Below is a list of programs and a brief description:
- How to Balance a Checkbook -- Bring your most recent statement and your checkbook register and learn the secret to balancing a checkbook!
- Budget and Credit Repair Counseling -- This class is designed to teach you about repairing your credit report. You will also learn how to dispute any discrepancies that appear on your report and have it removed.
- Home Banking and Bill Payer Demonstrations -- Come see how our Online Home Banking and Bill Payer works!
- Fraud Prevention -- Come learn how you can protect yourself from identity theft, recognize fraudulent scams and checks, and guard your computer from phishing and pharming.
- Get it in Gear-- There are many things your teenager should know before they get their first loan. We're here to help. This fast-paced, highly interactive class is designed for youth 15 and older. To register, eMail TeachMe@mydccu.com or call 540.946.3200 x3149.
