Giving Back

DCCU is committed to giving back and making a difference in our community!

Giving Back

A key part of DCCU's mission is a genuine commitment to our community. We strive to give back to our community in the same way we serve our members every day – with a sincere dedication to affect real, lasting, and positive change in people's lives. As a credit union, we have the responsibility of caring for the well-being of our members and the opportunity to better serve the community. Here are some of the ways we give back to our community.

Corporate Volunteerism

Volunteering is an important part of fulfilling our mission at DCCU. Our employees enjoy giving back in a hands-on way throughout the communities we serve. They have donated their time at several organizations throughout the Shenandoah Valley, including United Way affiliate offices, the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity and more!

Shred Days

DCCU Shred Days offer community members the opportunity to shred their sensitive documents while benefiting the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Community members are encouraged to bring personal documents to a participating DCCU location to be shredded for free. Participants are also asked to bring food items or a monetary donation to benefit the local food bank.

I love the focus we have in helping our community and volunteering our time. I find so much meaning in the spirit of giving back to our community!

Please provide as many details as possible, including marketing benefits. Note: requests must be submitted each year for recurring events. We look forward to reviewing your request.
