DCCU designated the month of May 2023 as Employee Wellness Month—an opportunity to demonstrate employee wellness support through a series of events and activities. Each week featured wellness themes, such as the importance of hydration, choosing healthier food options, getting active, and other ways to improve physical and mental health. DCCU also organized Wellness Days at each location.

DCCU partnered with Augusta Health and Valley Health to provide complimentary onsite health assessments. These health screenings can be vital in early detection of possible chronic conditions, making them a very important aspect of DCCU Wellness Days. Throughout the month, Augusta Health (Valley Health at our Woodstock location) performed 172 health screenings for DCCU employees. Employees were also treated to healthy lunch options and snacks on their designated Wellness Days.

Employee Wellness Month is one of the many ways DCCU demonstrates its commitment to employee wellness. Employees are also provided an annual flu shot at no cost, educational workshops and fitness challenges, PTO is awarded for specific wellness activities, and other wellness events that take place throughout the year.
