DuPont Community Credit Union is partnering with H&R Contractors Inc. again for Shred Days! Stop by a DCCU branch between 9 AM - 12 PM to have your documents securely shredded for free. Participants are asked to bring non-perishable food items or a monetary donation to benefit the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.
NOTE: Our Shred Days are scheduled to last until noon, however, once the shred truck is filled to capacity, additional items may no longer be accepted. Please bring no more than three (3) large trash bags filled with documents to shred.
What to Expect
You will be asked to stay inside your vehicle and place any documents and donations in an easily accessible place. Staff will retrieve your items and return any boxes or bags to you.
What to Shred
It is recommended to shred anything that includes your personal information, such as:
- Social Security number
- Account numbers
- PINs
- Passwords
- Home Address
- Birthdate
What Not to Shred
- Large binder clips
- Thick folders or portfolios
- Sharp objects (not including staples)
- Electrical items
- Cardboard tubes
- Large metal items
