DCCU has a proven track record of successfully teaching financial education in the communities we serve and remain committed to teaching the importance of making wise financial decisions. We want to prepare youth to be financially responsible and help them build positive habits that will last a lifetime.

Finances 101

Ages 13 and up

If you are age 13 or older, Guides to Independence has all the tools you need to start down the path to YOUR financial independence. You will learn about spending, saving, managing money, and lots more in a fun and engaging way.

DCCU's Minor Lending Program

Ages 16 and 17

Are YOU ready for YOUR first car but not quite sure where to start? DCCU wants to help you navigate through the process. After completing two online courses that teach you about the car buying process and how to apply for a loan, you will be ready to apply for your first auto loan with DCCU. During the courses, you will learn the following:

  • How to shop for a car
  • What credit is
  • How to read a credit report
  • How to apply for a loan
  • How to figure a monthly loan payment
  • How to calculate a car loan value
  • Expenses that come along with being a car owner
  • What insurance is and the importance of having it
