Michael P. Blinn
Michael grew up in Augusta County and graduated from Riverheads High School and Eastern Mennonite University. He and his wife Melissa have two children, Kian and Ella, and they live in Churchville.
Michael currently serves DCCU as a member of the Board of Directors. He is the Chairperson of the DCCU Governance Committee, which is tasked with Board training, development, and facilitating elections.
Michael is the Chief Operating Officer at People Places, a non-profit Foster and Adoption agency in Staunton, Harrisonburg, and Charlottesville. He is also founder and President of giv2giv.org, a fundraising tool for community charities.
Michael has serve as both a Director and an officer on other community and non-profit boards. He is most passionate about bringing best-in-class financial tools to our community through the use of technology. In his personal time Michael enjoys fishing, hiking, and being with his family.
Marvin G. Copeland, Jr.
Marvin is an Operations Specialist at Merck & Company in Elkton, VA. Raised and educated in northern New Jersey, he began his career with Merck over 31 years ago. In addition to his managerial role, Marvin serves as the chairperson for the League of Employees of African Descent, an employee resource group developed to engage, empower, educate, and inspire colleagues to be successful contributors to Merck's global strategy.
Marvin moved to the area in 2009 and since then has been an active volunteer for several local nonprofits, including United Way, Elkton Area United Service, Rockingham County Boys & Girls Club, and more. He resides in Waynesboro with his wife Cassandra and their three children, Tierra, Marvin III, and Addison. Marvin has been serving as a DCCU volunteer in the role of Associate Director since March 2017 and is a member of the Asset Liability Management Committee.
Leslie E. Ramsey
Les and his wife Barbara are Augusta County natives and have been members of DCCU since 1977. He graduated from Waynesboro High School in 1960, and later Jefferson Professional Institute - School of Business in Charlottesville, VA. In 1996 Les retired from Ntelos following 26 years of service.
Les' career in telephony (1970 - 1996) included management of several areas of customer service, i.e., Business Office Operations, Sales & Marketing, and Public Relations. He served on state and national industry association committees/boards and, in 1986-87 served as President of the Virginia Telecommunication Industry Association.
Les served on the Board of Directors of the Retail Merchants Association and Chamber of Commerce where he served as President of the Chamber in 1974-75. He is a past Rotarian (26 years) and a 32nd degree Mason since 1974. Les and Barbara are active members of First Baptist Church of Waynesboro.
Les has served as a member of your DCCU Board of Directors for nine years and currently serves as Treasurer of the Board and ALM Committee Chair. He would be very pleased at the opportunity to continue representing the membership as DCCU continues its advancement of technology and member services.
Angela M. Simonetti
As a native of Augusta County, Angie has been a member of the credit union for over 15 years. She graduated from Fort Defiance High School in 2005 and from James Madison University in 2009. From 2005 to 2009, while attending JMU full time, Angie worked at DCCU in various roles and branches. After graduating from JMU, she worked in marketing roles at Christopher William Jewelers and then Cadence, Inc. before taking a position with the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia in 2014 (where she continues to work today). Angie and her husband, Justin Siron, live in Fishersville and enjoy life in the Shenandoah Valley.
Angie credits DCCU for giving her the business experience she needed at a young age to begin growing a successful career. This experience made her want to serve as a volunteer for DCCU. Angie began serving as an Associate Director on the DCCU Board in 2017 and also serves as a member of the Governance Committee. In November 2018, Angie was appointed by the Board to serve the remainder of Director Daniel L. Bowman's term. Angie has enjoyed being a voice for the DCCU membership, and she would welcome the opportunity to serve as an elected Director and continue to serve you.
