Become a Volunteer

DCCU is actively seeking dedicated volunteers from within our membership to be considered for potential openings on the Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee, and Governance Committee.

 There will be three three-year terms expiring on the Board in 2022 for Mr. Michael P. Blinn, Ms. Angela Simonetti, and Mrs. Janet Mangun.

The Governance Committee is accepting applications from members in good standing interested in volunteering. Nominations may be submitted June 1 - 30, 2021.

  • Cover letter and resume
  • Electronic copy of your professional quality headshot
  • Volunteer agreement
  • Please include your biography (maximum word length is 300). Consider including:
    • Your name and the area you currently reside 
    • If applicable: education, current title, employer, notable accomplishments, special training, awards or honors, and volunteer efforts
    • Why it is important to you to serve as a volunteer for DCCU and why you should be selected

DCCU’s Board of Directors is comprised of members who volunteer their time and expertise to the membership by overseeing the management of the credit union. Board Members serve three-year terms and are elected by the membership.

In addition to the Board of Directors, there are other volunteer committees that assist with oversight of DCCU.

Supervisory Committee – Appointed by the Board of Directors to oversee the operation of the Credit Union and act as a member advocate. The Supervisory Committee wants DCCU to be operated in a financially safe and sound manner so that member assets are protected:

Governance Committee – Responsible for ongoing review and recommendations concerning the governance of the credit union to enhance the leadership quality, effectiveness, and strategic impact of the Board and all elements of the governance structure; and, to refresh and renew the Board through a thoughtful Board member nominations and development process.
