To meet the DCCU Cares Foundation purpose to improve the financial health of the community we engage in thoughtful and strategic funding. We formalize philanthropic giving programs to continue and expand the community giving already taking place. The DCCU Cares Foundation goes beyond access to beneficial and affordable financial products and services. We align our credit union foundation brand with the financial health needs of the communities we serve.
The Strategic Community Grant Program awards funds to worthy and mission aligned community partners who find innovative, results oriented and cost-effective ways to foster financial health within the DCCU Cares Foundation focus and service areas. The maximum request is $10,000 for the single year grant cycle.
The following focus areas represent the funding priorities and applicants must demonstrate program alignment to one or more of these areas.
Eligible grant recipients include tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organizations located in the DCCU Service Area to include these 16 localities:
If you received a DCCU Cares Foundation Grant in 2024 you must have completed all interim and final reporting, if applicable, when due to be eligible to apply in the 2025 cycle.
2025 Grant Recipients will be expected to adhere to all reporting and compliance requirements.
The Foundation does not provide grants for operating expenses, deficit reduction, endowments, building or capital campaigns.
